It was typical 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defense and Josh Allen attempting to do too much to rescue his squad from the situation - not the calm, controlled, balanced Bills we've seen this year

Miami have served up a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on whether this is the start of something, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a difficult matchup against Tampa Bay next week as the New England are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the summit of the AFC East

Regarding the New England, they're one of three 8-2 squads in the NFL, all AFC sides, but could they be the best?

While you can argue who 'the best' is technically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the top record due to their schedule - which features just a single matchup against a successful opponent, albeit a significant contest against Buffalo

Visiting Baltimore is also tough, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to play twice, the Chargers (who might also compete for first place but encounter the identical challenge) and also the Green Bay on the schedule

The Colts also face the Chiefs, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two matchups with the 5-4 Jacksonville to face. There's a long way to travel but the opportunity is open for a surprise top seed in the American Football Conference

Coming Up - Rams & Seahawks Set for Week 11 Clash

Two teams with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three different 8-2 teams are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each scored forty points to reach 7-2 before the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster game between the pair in LA

Both have secured four victories in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with top receivers, and defensive units allowing fewer than twenty points a game

Both could realistically be undefeated as too - especially the Rams as their two defeats came in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick blocked and run back by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

The Seahawks were also defeated to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in week one, before falling to the last kick of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they're genuinely two of the top teams in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the year to date
