Regardless of your interest, the buzz surrounding the Wicked sequel is unavoidable. After a hectic press tour for the first film, the spotlight is now on the lead actors and the latest chapter in the popular franchise.

1. They Continue to ‘Hold Space’ for One Another

Last year's press circuit was notable for the strong connection between the two stars. Tearful interviews and expressions of friendship gained significant attention. Even with teasing about being “annoying,” their relationship appears unbreakable. During the recent event, Erivo avoided interviews to protect her voice, while the other allegedly did the same as a show of support. When asked about their emotions before the final installment, they expressed “deep thankfulness.”

Reports indicate that one star lost her voice and could not doing interviews at the ‘Wicked: For Good’ premiere. Her co-star also skipped interviews to stand with her.

Ariana Grande’s partner, co-star, also appears in the sequel. They connected during filming of the original, amid previous marriages. Even with social media posts, they have not done interviews together and have been apart in public appearances, leading to split rumors. But, insiders close to the pair recently denied these rumors, stating that things are “great” between them.

A co-star, portraying The Wizard of Oz, has revealed that being part of the movie led him to give up meat. The two stars are longtime plant-based, and Michelle Yeoh follows a similar diet. This has motivated animal rights groups to reach out to co-stars, including Jonathan Bailey, hoping to persuade them to adopt a plant-based lifestyle. To date, he has remains non-committal but has praised the film's message of acceptance.

Given the momentum, there is talk about a possible third film.

Ariana Grande has indicated that her upcoming concert series—the initial in almost a decade—could be her last for a “very long time.” She appears to be moving toward film roles, including an anticipated project with Robert De Niro. Meanwhile, she has developed hobbies like birdwatching and expressing curiosity in entomology. For fans hoping for another album, this could mean a long delay.
