🔗 Share this article Followers Call for Detainment of Person Who Touched Ariana Grande Ariana Grande visited Singapore for the regional launch of Wicked: For Good Devoted followers of the pop star are demanding that a individual who breached a barrier and touched the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or deported from Singapore. A widely shared footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the event by event staff. Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being detained", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged. Record of Disruptions This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year. "Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions. "Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" another Instagram user remarked. Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Safety Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many. "Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further message on Instagram. Some supporters also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads. Response and Event Details In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff. Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues. Many of Singapore supporters had waited to see the cast of Wicked Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as many hours before it started. The movie, to be released on November 21, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two very different characters. The production itself is a spin-off of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses. They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum. The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Oscar nominations, securing a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
